In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

My research interests are in enabling the use of computational approaches (including but not limited to AI) to solve real-life problems. In my PhD research I am exploring the potential of computational techniques to implement legal requirements for AI systems, focusing on applications in the fields of education and healthcare. I am a PhD candidate at Maastricht University’s Law and tech lab, working on the Regtech4AI project under the supervision of Konrad Kollnig, Gijs van Dijck and Jerry Spanakis.
